Okayama Wagyu is the proud brand of Wagyu beef from the "Land of Sunshine, Okayama.
The "Takenotani Vine," which was created in Niimi City, Okayama Prefecture, is said to be the origin of the oldest Wagyu beef in Japan.
The Oyama Wagyu, which is based on the Takenotani Vine, is moderately sinewy and has a tender texture and aroma created by high levels of high-quality amino acids and oleic acid (unsaturated fatty acid), which are the source of its delicious flavor.
Only A5 grade sirloin and ribeye are delivered as steak cuts according to the grading standards of the Japan Meat Grading Association. A recipe on how to cook the steak is included.
